My 21 Insights On Self-Discovery

Everyone comes to this world to serve a certain purpose; mine is to support children to discover themselves to become the best versions possible. so recently, I launched my own brand for kid’s journal to help them discover themselves (https://instagram.com/mylittleguidelight?utm_medium=copy_link) . And I am an undergraduate psychology student. Moreover, I have my own Instagram page (https://instagram.com/eunoia.ndiary?utm_medium=copy_link) in which I share my own life activities and motivational quotes to inspire others. Eunoia is inspired by the quote “SHE DESIGNED A LIFE SHE LOVED”

When I was a child, I was forced to leave my country because of war, and I lost my physical home. Then, I decided to go into a journey of self-discovery to find the home inside of me. I thought that my home was a place outside myself, where I felt protected and content. However, because of war, I became a refugee. This is when I learned that a physical home is not the source of happiness, my true home was and still is inside of myself.

So, for me self-discovery is defined as a beautiful process of:

1. Examining your life
2. Figuring out what’s missing
3. Taking steps towards fulfillment

Accordingly, since now I am 21 years old, I would like to share with you 21 things that I learned during this beautiful journey which I consider important elements for the self-discovery journey:

• Commitment is what transforms a promise into a reality: So always show up to yourself with the best version possible.
• All the answers you’re searching for is found within you: so, spend time with yourself to reflect and listen to your intuition to find the answers you are searching for. You will never find peace of mind until you listen to your heart.
• The present moment is the only moment available to us, and it is the door to all moments: so simply make sure to truly live and enjoy every moment of your life, and if you want to make a difference in your life, use the power of the present moment to make this change.
• No one is you and that is your power: so always believe in yourself.
• You have the power of choice: since everything in your life is a reflection of a choice you have made. If you want a different result, make a different choice. As whatever you are not changing, you are choosing.

• Get used to the magic of journaling: This is the time of “you” meeting yourself. In which you will have a better understanding of your thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Thus, journaling will make everything clear to you.
• Make sure to find your passion: As the things you’re passionate about are not random, they are your calling. Likewise, passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what excites you.
• Self-discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment: As self-discipline begins with the mastery of your thoughts. If you don’t control what you think, you can’t control what you do. Additionally, motivation comes and goes. Practice self-discipline and it will stay forever.
• Emotional intelligence is an essential component of life. Since it is a way of recognizing, understanding, and choosing how we think, feel and act.
• Make sure to be in peace with your inner child: As sometimes there are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds. Thus, taking care for your inner child has a powerful and surprisingly quick result: DO IT AND THE CHILD HEALS.

• Always be honest with yourself. It’s the most important thing you can do. And don’t forget to always ask yourself “WHAT I WANT? “, but it’s not enough to just know what you want, you need to do what you want, to be what you want.
• Make sure to always set intentions that serves your life purpose: As intentions are the fuel to manifesting your goals and vision. Similarly, I truly believe that energy flows, where attention goes.
• Make sure to create a beautiful place inside your mind because you spend most of your time there.
• A comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there: So, make sure to always have the courage to get out of your comfort zone and learn new things. because life would never stop teaching us.
• Coincidence doesn’t exist. And everything happens for a reason but don’t question it, just trust it. Thus, make sure to always listen to the universe, because the universe is giving you signs every day. But remember that you won’t miss a sign from the universe. As it will keep getting louder and louder until you get it.

• Fall in love with taking care of yourself: Because you are the only one responsible for creating your happiness.
• Don’t judge people for the choices they make, when you don’t know the options they had to choose from. Because most of the time we judge a situation without knowing the whole story.
• Nonresistance is the key to the greatest power in the universe.
• Acceptance is the answer to all the problems. Likewise, let go of everything that no longer nourishes your soul.
• Enthusiasm is the root of all good things: when you are enthusiastic about what you do, you feel this positive energy. As enthusiasm is an excitement with inspiration, motivation, and a pinch of creativity.
• Life is about the journey not the destination: So, make sure to enjoy every moment of your self-discovery journey, and don’t forget to celebrate your small and big achievements during this journey.

The bottom line, there is a unique calling meant only for you, thus the Self-discovery journey looks different on everyone. Likewise, there is a powerful driving force inside every human being that, once unleashed. Can make any vision, dream, or desire a reality.
